Our Co-Op name, Omnia Nova, is Latin for “all things new” - a phrase found in Ephesians 4:22-24, where the Lord tells us, “You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires, to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
In this same way, our mission is to equip developing hearts and minds with the classical tools of learning while nurturing a love of God, service, knowledge, and wisdom. It is our vision to support home-centered education, instill Godly character, and produce life-long learners who pursue truth, virtue, and beauty in all things.
A classical education seeks to develop a well-balanced student with a logical mind and a virtuous heart. It equips them with tools and habits to cultivate their own lifelong love for learning.
The basis of a classical education is to instill a solid foundation of factual knowledge, train the mind to logically organize and analyze these facts, and learn tools to propose a reasoned and persuasive argument.
This is accomplished through the Trivium, which is comprised of three basic tools of learning and follows the stages of child development as noted by Sayers in her speech, Lost Tools of Learning.
Omnia Nova gathers one day a week from the hours of 8:30am - 3pm. Students ranging in ages from 4 years old up to 18 years old will engage in daily lessons and correlating activities that focus on the strands of: Memory Work, Bible, Language Arts, Latin, Presentations, Fine Arts, Math and Science.
K-6 students follow a four year cycle provided by Claritas Classical Academy. Each cycle works through a specific historical time period and science focus, along with new Latin, Hymn, Scripture and Geography information! Students 7th grade and up work through Masterpoint curriculum.
